If I receive a SYSTEM ERROR when I try to log in, how can i fix it?
Your system must meet the following requirements:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0 or higher is the only accepted web browser for this system. Netscape and Firefox (Mozilla) will not run this application. Microsoft Internet Explorer is free to install: www.microsoft.com/ie
- In Internet Explorer, Privacy must be set to Medium or lower. Open IE and click Tools — Internet Options — Privacy. Lower the setting and click OK.
- AOL users must open a new Internet Explorer window to log in
- Macintosh computers will not run this application.
- Pop-Up blockers must be disabled
- If you are clicking on a link in a course management program (e.g. WebCT, Blackboard), you should open a new Internet Explorer window, go to www.medtraining.org, and log in again.
- Microsoft Windows 98 or higher
If you continue to experience problems, call us toll free at (866) 681-6700 Mon-Fri 7AM - 5PM Pacific Time.
Why doesn't my computer play the videos properly?
The most recent version of Media Player should be installed in order to play the videos. This can be downloaded from: www.microsoft.com/mediaplayer. If you already have the most recent version, reinstalling it may resolve this problem.
If you continue to have problems, please contact your IT department and verify that the firewall is not blocking www.medtraining.org or www.playstream.com. (Playstream is a third-party vendor that hosts the videos found in the training content and tests.) If your IT department does not detect any firewall issues, call us toll free at (866) 681-6700 Mon-Fri 7AM - 5PM Pacific Time.
If I have lost or forgotten my password, how can I find it?
Go to www.medtraining.org and click Forgot Your Password in the Subscriber Log In box. Enter your Email/User ID and click Send. If your Email/User ID is an email address and it is found in our system, your password will be mailed to you.
If it is not found by the system, contact the Administrator at your organization to obtain your password. If your Email//User ID is not an email address or if you do not remember your Email/User ID, contact the Administrator. Your password may need to be changed by the Administrator, and you can change it after you log in. If you do not know who the administrator is for your organization, call (866) 681-6700 toll free. Only organizations that subscribe to these programs will have an Administrator.
Why do I get logged out of the Lab Training Library when I click on one of the training courses in the Main Menu?
This is caused by the security settings on your computer. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools and then Internet Options. Select Privacy and move the slider down to Medium. Click OK and log in.
How do I receive my CE certificates?
You must be logged into the system to apply for CE credit. At the end of a training course or a lab competency assessment test, click Apply for CE and follow the instructions. Otherwise, click the CE link located in the top right corner of your User Menu. After completing a short survey, you can generate and print your P.A.C.E. certificate.
If you do not have an Email/User ID and have taken a training course using a Tutor CD, you can apply for CE credit by completing an evaluation form. Your certificate will be mailed to your Administrator on a quarterly basis.
Where do I enter my email address and password to log into the Lab Training Library?
If you do not see the fields to enter this information, you may not be using the correct browser. Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher must be used in order to use these programs. The programs do not run reliably using Netscape or on a Macintosh.
