Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe the basic physiology of hemostasis and its regulation.
  2. Name the common bleeding disorders and their associated defects.
  3. Describe the methodology of common coagulation tests and their role in diagnosing bleeding disorders.
  4. Name the common abnormal coagulation test result patterns and the bleeding disorders most frequently associated with them.
  5. Describe the role of coagulation tests in monitoring anticoagulant therapy.
