This talk details the clinical symptoms and genetic components of three inherited blood disorders: Fanconi anemia, Thrombocytopenia, and Neutropenia. All three disorders are cancer predisposition disorders and the talk will highlight the importance of proper, early diagnosis and how utilization management can save time and money during the genetic testing process. A quick summary of recent cases will help put into perspective the role UM plays in testing at PreventionGenetics. This talk contains general information regarding clinical presentations of the disorders as well as helpful tips for ordering appropriate tests. The target audience includes physicians, genetic counselors, lab directors, sendout laboratory personnel and anybody seeking more information about blood disorders and genetic testing.
