Learning Objectives:
  1. Prepare a wet mount of seminal fluid.
  2. Perform a bright-field or phase-contrast microscope examination for the presence or absence of sperm and to detect sperm motility.
  3. List the equipment and supplies needed to perform a qualitative semen analysis.
